Canary was a prototype Amicabot built & designed to help oversee a mining site for fossil fuels - with the idea that Amicabots were going to continue being built exclusively using those fuel sources for power. She was soon after abandoned as Amicabots had started going towards cleaner energy sources, and fossil fuel-based designs were quickly demonized and cited as actively killing the environment.

She knows that it isn't her own fault that she was built this way, but also feels a deep sense of guilt for actively killing everything around her to stay alive herself. To this day, Canary oversees the facilities she was originally supposed to. Fossil fuels will all be used up one day - they aren't renewable. Unlike her other Amicabot companions, Canary has an early death hanging over her head. She just hopes that she can dig up more raw resources, to prolong the lives of herself, and the other prototypes unfortunate enough to be built to use fossil fuels.
