Gone Fishin’ Monthly Amicabot Prompt


“This is going to be great,” exclaimed Firr as he walked down the forest covered, trampled dirt path with the little light projection match his bouncing stride and his car-mica friends trailing behind.
“Sooo… Where are we going again,” the yellow car-mica asked as if he had missed something really important.
“Milner, where you not listening,” Christine, the red car-mica asked irritably.
“No. I was being distracted by this jerk wad over here because he kept shifting between his car form and normal form trying to decided if that dirt road we came in on was “fine for racing”.
“Well sorry!” Falfa responded defensively, “I’m just trying to see if I can drive on something other than just asphalt the entire time.
“Ehem,” Classic, another car-mica, interrupted, “We are heading to a lake that Moira had found while exploring and she’s inviting everyone to join her.
“Well at least someone was listening,” Christine commented.
“Hey! Over here!,” Firr yelled from behind a couple large rocks.
Everyone rushed over to see what Firr had found and sure enough it was a large blue, glittering lake with some ripples from a small breeze. They were all enjoying the gorgeous site when a large SPLASH off to the right made everyone jump. Classic had bombed right into the water, laughing.
“Hahahaha haaaa! You should see your faces!!” Classic laughed.
“Oh you-!” Firr jumped in and pushed a wave of water over Classics head. “What are you three doing just standing there, jump in!”
The yellow, gray, and red car-micas were still standing on the bank staring at the water reluctantly. “I don’ no, Firr.. I’m not a huge fan of the water…,” Falfa responded looking at the other two and guessed they shared the same thought.
“Oh come on, Classic’s a car-mica and he’s fine,” Firr observed.
“Yeah, but I think he’s got a jacked-up sensor,” Milner responded.
“Thanks!” Classic responded light-heartedly as he pulling himself up onto rock. “I guess it comes in handy.”
Firr let out a snort causing everyone to burst into fits of laughter. Classic, who was still sitting on the rock and laughing so hard, slid off the rock and back into the water, causing everyone to laugh even harder.
“Oops!” Classic giggled as he resurfaced.
“You have-“ laughed Christine, “You’ve got a-, you have something on your head!”
Classic reached up a picked off a light and dark green data patterned fish. “Now what are you, little guy?”
“Say, I think that’s that Betta Tester critter Moira was talking about!” Falfa replied.
“Hey yeah! I think so! Milner, did you bring that critter jar with you?”
“I think I did, it might be back at the path entrance, be right back!” Milner responded and bounded back up the path into the trees.
“It’s kinda cute!” Falfa commented.
“I want to name!” exclaimed Classic.
“Classic, no, we are not naming it.” Christine sighed.
“Too late, I’m naming him Carburetor.”
“Carburetor..” snorted Firr, “Classic, why?”
“I don’t know!” Classic smiled.
“I have the jar!” Milner yelled from the end of the path.
“Do you want to know what Classic just named the fish?” Firr asked Milner.
“What?”
“He named it Carburetor.”
“Carburetor,” Milner repeated, “Niiice.”
