[Let's Go Together!] I can't make a good axolotl pun here.
"Let's see... the trench is supposed to be this way, right?" Scraps idly mused to himself whilst carrying a rusted Amicabot through the ocean. Surely, a gigantic trench in the seafloor wasn't supposed to be this hard to find... but thanks to the earlier diversion via a helpful Specimen, he'd gotten lost. It's hard to look for landmarks when you're several miles below the ocean, especially when it's your first time visiting it, after all! In the midst of trying to reorient himself, Scraps noticed something out of the corner of his eye. The Amicabot he'd been carrying, deactivated... seemed to be stirring, if the flick of the gills on its head and the subtle glow of its core was any indication. For just a moment, he paused in his undersea... flight to give them a chance to wake up completely. When they did, they let out a brief "yip!" in shock. "Oh, you're awake," Scraps addressed them in pleasant surprise. "I was almost worried you wouldn't come to when I found you back there!" The other Amicabot took a moment to try and find their words... squinting a bit from the glow of Scraps' wings. "You... you're a terrestrial Amica, yes? What are you doing all the way down here?"
"There's tons of others down here, actually," he replied without missing a beat. "Something about a signal being found in Ripple Trench... that I lost the way to."
Their eyes widened. "R-Ripple Trench?? What could you possibly be looking for down there?!"
"Someone who went missing! I've... never personally met them, but I figured it couldn't hurt to aid in the effort to look for him!" And that's when he got an idea. "Say, you don't need any protective gear down here, do you? Are you able to swim on your own?"
With that, he released his grip on them, tentatively. Fortunately, it seemed like they were able to right themself on their own, even with how unwieldy their extra limbs seemed. "Oh, good, looks like being stuck under all that rubble for so long didn't damage you too badly!"
The rusted Amicabot smiled back, however crookedly. "What a relief... Even if the sealab I was stationed at collapsed, at least I can carry on where everyone stationed there left off." A pause. "...Er, what was your name? I want to properly thank you for getting me out of there."
"Scraps, what's yours?"
"Chalco."
"Chalco? Pretty name. I hope this isn't too much to ask, but... would you mind pointing me in the direction of the trench so we can get to the bottom of this signal business?"
"I wouldn't mind at all. It's the least I can do to repay you! Just... be careful down there. That helmet of yours will only do so much for the pressure of diving deeper."
"I'll be fine," Scraps reassured, "I'm tougher than I look!"
And so the two departed together, with Chalco leading the way.
