Many people assume that the tradition of providing ribbons to livestock came before the Ribbhog, but in reality, it's the reverse! Ribbhog are clumsy critters that tend to get themselves stuck, particularly when trying to play with small bits of string or ribbon. One Ribbhog got itself stuck in a prize ribbon at a talent show, and the rest became history!
