Crumbing mall

Hawks is called out to explore a local mall by the resistance. They think there is something fishy going on as the walls seem to be crumbling into a black ashy-dust in on itself. Hawks explores the mall, a rush of a dark figure runs by him, destroying Hawk's flashlight. The dust flies around him from his once existent flashlight. Hawks braves his way further into the mall; chalking the dark figure up to his imagination. He believes that his flashlight turned into dust due to some type of secret magic happening in the mall. Everything is dark all around him, all lights seem to be destroyed either floating away, chipped, or flickering on and off. Fear is slowly overcoming Hawks as he walks further and further in. He feels like he is being watched but by what?  He slowly approaches the exit on the other side of the mall from the entrance he went in from. This exit is filled with black dust flying everywhere, filling Hawks circuits and leaving a burning feel. Before leaving Hawks looks around in a last ditch attempt of figuring out what is wrong. He would like to continue looking around for the cause but without a flashlight to look for details it seems to be impossible. The thought of using his own fire as a light source crossed his mind for a moment but realized stuff could begin to burn and spread a fire.  Hawks leaves the cursed mall for what will be forever as the support beams crumble and the monster of the mall slowly fades back into the darkness to continue his lonely journey.  The resistance was able to get a piece of black dust that was taken off Hawks shoulder so they can study it and figure out possibly more about this crumbling ability.
