"Scraps made it a point after our modifications to tell me that I had no further reason to return to the power plant where I awakened... but a part of me doubted him still. I knew I hadn't fully explored all of it yet, there had to be something in there that was still of some kind of use. That's what I wanted to believe, at least.

After much searching, that doubt proved to be a good thing after all. I do not recall where in the building they were, but... In a random overturned drawer set, I found a pair of batteries in surprisingly pristine condition. Just how long were they here? And where did they go? At the time, I was not entirely sure why I was so excited at the prospect of finding out... but at the same time, when everything is still relatively new to you, everything becomes slightly more exciting. So off I went, through room after room, looking for some kind of device to which these batteries belonged.

And then... I found it.

In a nearby office, the lock rusted off the door, I found what looked like a strongbox with a strange yellow creature inside. No, it was inorganic, just like me. I couldn't make out what was written on the plaque behind it behind the muddied glass, yet... from what I could see, it was a tiny toy, painted yellow and blue. ...What was this feeling stirring up in my processors the longer I looked at it? Like it was somehow familiar to me, though I did not know why...

...You know what? To hell with trying to understand the reason. I decided then and there that I had to free this toy from its confines. These were its batteries, I had to return them to it! I just had to!"
