Shemp has a grandiose sense of self and he can be a bit cynical. He sees himself as a misunderstood and underappreciated artist. Shemp has developed a keen appreciation for "the high arts". He is still dedicated to caring for his sea monkeys.

Shemp was created as a simple domestic amicabot programmed to care for sea monkeys. After spending some time trying to find his place in the wastelands he developed a fascination with high and abstract art. He may not mention them much but, Shemp is devoted to his sea monkeys and takes great pride in ensuring that they are happy and healthy. He sees himself as their protector and caretaker, and he will go to great lengths to keep them safe and well-fed.
